Classical Pilates
Classical Pilates stays true to the original method created by Joseph Pilates. It is a movement system using gravity, body weight and spring resistance to simultaneously stretch, strengthen and lengthen your muscles. Specialized apparatus both supports and challenges your body to create long lasting changes in posture, alignment and movement patterns.
Contrology Workout (Small Group)
Contrology Workouts are the way Joseph Pilates intended his students to practise. Limited to small groups, this is a non-led class where each student practises their own individual program. A Classical Pilates Instructor is present for supervision, guidance, questions and spotting. These classes are designed to promote independence and let you take control of your workout!
Pre-requisite: You must have a basic understanding of the Pilates repertoire on both the mat and reformer. A minimum of three private session is required for all new clients interested in taking part in Contrology Workouts.

Franklin Method
Welcome to the Franklin Method
FRANKLIN METHOD CLASS - 55 MINUTES -Saturday 9 am
Open to all levels, Franklin Method classes are small group sessions guided by a Beyond Pilates instructor.
Rather than teaching a specific set of exercises, the Franklin Method teaches how any movement can become a beneficial exercise if performed with good function.
Through the use of imagery, benefits include increased power and efficiency of movement without risk of injury.
WHAT ARE THE FRANKLIN METHOD STUDY GROUPS AND WORKSHOPS?
Each workshop focuses on a unique theme or topic intended to deepen and accelerate the benefits of your practice, provide new challenges and insights as well as expand your knowledge of the Franklin Method. Franklin Method workshops are an excellent addition to your regular workouts.
For Teachers
We love working with teachers at The Pilates Collective! Whether you are a new teacher hoping to consolidate your understanding of the method, a seasoned teacher looking for a way to access the work at a deeper level or a contemporary teacher curious to try the Classical system, we can meet your needs. Our 2nd and 3rd Generation teachers work close to the source and are always investing in our own learning/growth. Which means we always have new things to offer you!
Class Series
These are 4-8 week programs that focus on something specific. Whether it's an age group, an activity, or an introductory program these series are a great way to get consistency and progress with results.
