Classical Pilates

Classical Pilates stays true to the original method created by Joseph Pilates. It is a movement system using gravity, body weight and spring resistance to simultaneously stretch, strengthen and lengthen your muscles. Specialized apparatus both supports and challenges your body to create long lasting changes in posture, alignment and movement patterns.

Classical Pilates Teacher and Franklin Method Movement Educator

Lolita’s Legacy Pilates Teacher Training Program certified, Prenatal and Postnatal Pilates certified, graduate Somática femina program in Instituto Macuil. Master’s degree in fitness and recreation.

Personal Motto: “The human body is not an instrument to be used, but a realm of one’s being to be experienced, explored, enriched and, thereby, educated.” -Thomas Hanna―

Anastasiia started working as fitness instructor 10 years ago in Ukraine. Aerobics, TRX, functional training, etc. One day she was offered to take a certification program in yoga. Anastasiia finished it successfully and started teaching yoga while exploring movement. So one day she found Pilates and fell in love with the method. No matter what technique or instrument she learns, Pilates is her axis. And Joseph Pilates himself said that we need to practice pilates for life. First do Pilates and then anything you want in life.

As a somatic practitioner, Anastasiia is a facilitator to the embodiment practice. Somatics main focus is to “wake up” your own body to the fullest of your ability or desire. Because once you are aware of what you are doing you can look at other options. Teaching clients is an honor and Anastasiia embraces each person as a unique and amazing human capable of healing and feeling his or her best.

Chelsea’s love of movement started from an early age while growing up in Saskatchewan, Canada. She began taking dance classes at the age of 3 and eventually turned her passion into a successful career as a professional dancer and aerialist for over 10 years. An amazing job opportunity led Chelsea to Asia where she spent 7 years working for Tokyo DisneySea and Hong Kong Disneyland.

She eventually decided to settle in Hong Kong and that same passion for movement, combined with her love of human connection, is what led her to a career in fitness. She believes there is truly a profound connection between the body and mind and has personally experienced how movement can heal and empower an individual.

Chelsea is a 3rd Generation Classical Pilates teacher with a comprehensive certification through Alycea Ungaro’s REAL Pilates in New York. She is also certified in Xtend Barre®, TRX®, Rebound Fitness and Trigger-Point Foam Rolling.

She recently made the move from Hong Kong to Vancouver and is excited to continue doing what she loves, working with people in their journey of fitness and health.

Olga has been teaching Pilates Method classes to groups and individuals since 2013. In 2018, she opened her own boutique studio, Pilates Home, in Turkey, which she ran until moving to Vancouver, Canada, in 2021.

She successfully graduated from Lolita’s Legacy Pilates School, founded and supervised by Lolita San Miguel, one of the elders of the Pilates method, in 2016. Olga is certified in various areas to address specific conditions, including scoliosis, multiple sclerosis (MS), hernias, joint pathologies, and prenatal/postnatal Pilates. She regularly attends international Pilates congresses and workshops. In April 2024, she began a BRIDGE PROGRAM with Noam Gagnon.

With 10 years of experience, Olga has worked with people of all ages—from children to the elderly—and with a wide range of clinical conditions. She also has extensive experience teaching Pilates to pregnant women. She firmly believes that there is a suitable program for every individual.

Many of Olga’s clients have included doctors and physiotherapists, who have praised her anatomical knowledge and her ability to create personalized programs. She is fluent in four languages: Russian, Ukrainian, Turkish, and English, and can teach Pilates in all of them.

Olga initially started practicing Pilates for personal enjoyment and well-being, which led her to understand the significance of movement. She discovered the essence of Joseph Pilates’ revolutionary system: the precision and rigor of movement to achieve a balanced physical and emotional state. She takes pride in observing the improvements her clients make.

Olga is passionate about the Pilates Method and living a healthy life and looks forward to helping you improve your quality of life.

Exploring a multitude of physical activities fostered her knowledge of kinesiology and built a passion for movement and health. However, Maggie was met with chronic knee pain. In 2018, aiming to relieve this pain, she discovered Pilates in Hong Kong. Pilates not only rehabilitated her injury, but also brought additional benefits including improved mobility, body control, and overall energy and strength.

Recognizing the potential of Pilates, Maggie moved to Vancouver in 2021 to train under some of the best Pilates teachers worldwide, directly under the lineage of Joseph Pilates. Maggie graduated from the Classical Pilates Teacher Training Program in 2023 under Noam Gagnon. Now, Maggie teaches principles of Classical Pilates utilizing tools from the modern Franklin Method.
